Team TAG participates in Boys and Girls Club Charity Poker Tournament

Team TAG took several top leaders and partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Venice. Held at the Hustler Casino, the purpose of the poker tournament was to raise money towards the engaging program for youth, Junior Staff. Junior Staff is a professional program that was developed to assist at-risk-teens with discovering their career paths. Thanks to the Poker players and Team TAG's volunteers, the event was a huge success.

With the help of Team TAG, the Boys and Girls Club was able to raise a total of $21,629, an increase from last years Charity Poker Tournament. Danielle Chi, director of events for B&G asked our representatives to help raise more money towards Junior Staff. Not only did Team Tag energetically greet poker players at the registration desk, the team, led by Stefanie Tringhan encouraged sells of tickets for a Kobe signed basketball and a bike raffle.

Team TAG also participated by playing in the Poker Tournament and buying raffle tickets. Team TAG would like to thank those who participated and contributed to Junior Staff: Jeremy West, Blake Wilson, Tariq Shaikh, Maria, Mirza Ulasoglu, Aykut Eren, Andrew Barkman, Bryn Dudkowski, Michael Schuessler, and Sam Chen.     

This event was one of many events that Team TAG volunteers in. Team TAG takes pride in being part of a community that gives back.

Team Leaders Teach Career Workshop

Two of TAG's best team leaders, Jinu Park and Mirza Ulasoglu, spent their Friday afternoon volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice.  They participated in leading a career workshop teaching teens on how to prepare for interviews and impress future employers.  They definitely made the experience enjoyable and memorable for the teens.

“The session prepared me for what I will encounter during a real job interview.  It was fun and intense at the same time, but I learned how to handle myself under pressure and what types of questions to expect and therefore I now know how to prepare.  It was interesting because the session wasn’t typical and boring, it was very interactive and it made all of us practice this important skill” – Max Ericastilla  12^th grader from Venice High School

Team TAG is constantly involved with various events at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice including their annual Silent Auction, Thanksgiving Dinner, and Dodgeball Tournament.

Last week we had 45 of our staff members unselfishly give up their Friday evening to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice's annual Silent Auction.  This black tie event at the Ritz in Marina del Rey was such a huge success.  We were escorting people, running merchandise in and out of the ball room, selling the items, training people on the iPods – everything ran like a well-oiled machine.  I love our team, and ultimately, the kids at The Club love us too.  Over 4,000 kids will receive great after school programs & a remodeled learning annex because of successful events like this one. Great job to Team TAG & all our volunteers!

Venice YPS hosts Networking Event

Rachael Dickhute & Manilynn Disuanco

Two of our Leaders, Rachael Dickhute and Manilynn Disuanco, teamed up with the Venice Young Professionals Society last week in Venice to attend "Purely Social".

The mixer included a group of entrepreneurs and young professionals from industries including TV and film as well as fashion, sales and banking.
The attendees enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres while mingling with other members and planning future events and fund raisers.
The event and society are designed to create an easy way to network with people in and outside your industry but in the same geographical area. The intent is to find the next representatives and leaders in the community.
There will be upcoming events with the society and they encourage members to join with the idea to build a social base in their local communities and be a part of future charitable events.

This is one of the many great ways to build your resume, gain exposure in the community & have a blast while surrounded by other people motivated by leadership!
